METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING OSTEOPOROSIS OF ALVEOLAR BONE IN PATIENTS WITH INFLAMMATORY, DYSTROPHIC-INFLAMMATORY AND DYSTROPHIC DISEASES OF PARADONTIUM

摘要

A method for diagnosing osteoporosis of the alveolar bone in the patients with inflammatory, dystrophic-inflammatory and dystrophic diseases of the paradontium comprises X-ray tomography. The histographic analysis of X-ray density of the bone structures of the paradontium is performed with square aperture of 0.4 mm. The decrease of the mean arithmetic density below +1600 HU in the compact bone and +390 HU in the spongy bone is indicative of the initial forms of the osteoporosis of the paradontium.
