PURPOSE: An apparatus for setting a group of a sensor node and a method thereof are provided to approximate a sensor node to a master that a user wants to group, thereby accurately setting the sensor node by a group of a master that a user wants. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether a sensor node enters into a group setup mode(S100). If the sensor node enters into the group setup mode, the sensor node outputs a communication signal with low strength(S110). The first and third masters decide whether a communication signal is received(S120). If the communication signal is received, the masters set the sensor node as a group of the masters(S130).
