<p>On one surface of a transparent substrate (1) made of glass or the like, a light transmitting first electrode (2) composed of, for instance, ITO, is formed in film-state, and on the first electrode, an organic EL layer (3), for instance, that functions as a light emitting layer is formed. Furthermore, on the EL layer, a second electrode (4) composed of a metal material is laminated, and an EL element (5) composed of the first electrode, the EL layer and the second electrode is formed. The EL element is sealed between the transparent substrate and the second substrate (7) by the second substrate attached at the periphery of the substrate through an adhesive (6), and the EL element is prevented from deteriorating due to atmosphere. A touch electrode (8) is formed on the sealing side of the second substrate, namely, on a surface of the second substrate facing the EL element. The touch electrode is electrically connected to a touch detecting circuit (10), and is constituted to detect changes of the capacitance value of the touch electrode by the touch detecting circuit.</p> |
