<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive hard coat film in which a hard coat layer is provided on at least one side of a transparent support and which has high hardness to prevent the hurt and blemish of its surface when arranged on the outermost surface of an image display apparatus and can obtain good visibility even when used outdoors when arranged on the outermost surface, a method for manufacturing the hard coat film, and a polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The hard coat film has the transparent support, a hard coat layer which is formed on at least one side of the support to be 10-30 μm in thickness and made of the cured product of a curable resin composition containing an ionizing radiation curable resin and a leveling agent, and a scattering reflectance Y of 0.2% or below.
