PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth leakage detector by which earth leakage is simply detected even if a plurality of independent electrical systems exist, and to provide transportation equipment including the earth leakage detector. SOLUTION: The earth leakage detector 10 is used for equipment 100 which includes: a motor 102; a battery 104 in which electric power supplied to the motor 102 is stored; a first plus-side wiring 106a and a first minus-side wiring 106b for connecting the motor 102 and the battery 104; a generator 108 to supply the electric power to the battery 104 and the motor 102; and a second plus-side wiring 110a and a second-side wiring 110b for connecting the generator 108 and the battery 104 in parallel with each other. The earth leakage detector 10 includes: a zero-phase current transformer 12 into which the first plus-side wiring 106a, the first minus-side wiring 106b, the second plus-side wiring 110a and the second minus-side wiring 110b are inserted; and a detection circuit 14 which detects earth leakage based on an output voltage from the zero-phase current transformer 12.
