<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the construction efficiency of floor finishing panels, in a floor panel installation structure in which an elastic member is charged in the gaps between joints. Ž<P>SOLUTION: To construct the floor finishing panels 2 on a skeleton floor surface 1, the floor finishing panels 2 are placed on the skeleton floor surface 1 in such a manner so that gaps are provided between backing boards 3, 3. Next, the floor finishing panels 2 are pushed and moved to abut the floor finishing panels 2, 2 on each other. When the floor finishing panels 2, 2 approach each other, first the upper corner edge of the elastic member 5 is brought into contact with the side surface B, and then the elastic member 5 is compressed and deformed until the backing boards 3, 3 abut on each other. The vertical width t of the portion elastic member 5 and the side surface B where the elastic member and the side surface first abut on each other is as small as 1 mm or shorter.
