PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant supply device having a lubricant which is excellent in handleability and hardly causes deterioration such as cracks. SOLUTION: The lubricant supply device includes: a lubricant supply member 30 which comes into contact with the surface of an image carrier 1 and is rotated and driven; the lubricant 31; a lubricant holder 32 which holds the lubricant 31; and a pressure member which directly or indirectly presses the lubricant to the side of the lubricant supply member 30. In the lubricant supply device, the lubricant supply member 30 shaves the lubricant 31 while being rotated and driven, and supplies the shaved lubricant 31 to the image carrier 1. In the cross-sections of the lubricant 31 and the lubricant holder 32 cut by a plane orthogonal to the axial direction of the lubricant supply member 30, at least the side surface 31a crossing the surface 31c facing the lubricant supply member 30 of the lubricant 31 is wholly supported by the lubricant holder 32.
