<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct load control system which achieves load balancing and right demand and supply balancing in an electric power system by adjusting power consumption of many controllable loads connected to the system on the basis of electric power consumption ratesγwithout spoiling the convenience of users of the loads. <P>SOLUTION: In the direct load control system, multiple controllable loads basically compute their electric power consumption ratesγ(γ=(p<SB>fut</SB>-p<SB>min</SB>)/(p<SB>max</SB>-p<SB>min</SB>)), an electric power system operation apparatus creates a histogram showing distributions of increment (p<SB>max</SB>-p) and decrement (p<SB>min</SB>-p) to a change ofγon the basis of the power consumption ratesγreceived from each controllable load, an upper electric power system operation apparatus which covers a wider area of the electric power system computes a threshold value determining consumable electric power in this area of the electric power system on the basis of the histograms, and each of the controllable loads controls its electric power consumption based on this threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
