PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bow part shape of a ship and a designing method for the bow part shape for separating spray-like thin wave (spray wave) generated by the ship navigating at middle and high speed, that is, reducing a viscous resistance component of the spray wave to reduce consumption energy required by the ship and achieve highly efficient navigation. SOLUTION: This bow part shape of the ship 1 is provided with a spray separating means 2-2 for separating the spray-like thin wave generated from a bow part to cover a surface of a hull while the ship 1 navigates at middle and high speed in the bow part of the hull of the ship 1 to reduce a spray component in a resistance increase component during navigation at middle and high speed. At this time, a spray separating plate 2-2 may be formed into a three-dimensional shape generating a component of force for propelling the hull forward in a rising process of wave surface.
