PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo compressor adjusting a negative pressure quantity without wasting motive power, by using a common motor for a flue gas fan, without relying on a power frequency of an installation place. SOLUTION: This turbo compressor is equipped with: an impeller 3 driven via a speed increase gear 2 by a main electric motor 1; oil pumps 4 and 9 for supplying lubricating oil stored in an oil tank 5 to the speed increase gear 2; a case for sealing an oil flow passage, the flue gas fan 16 for putting the inside of the oil flow passage under negative pressure; a pressure sensor 12 for detecting pressure in the oil flow passage; and a control means 8 for controlling a motor rotating speed of the flue gas fan 16 via an inverter 14. The control means 8 controls the flue gas fan 16 via the inverter so that the pressure in the oil flow passage becomes desired negative pressure, based on a detecting result by the pressure sensor 12.
