<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make flare or ghost caused by a flaw of an optical filter inconspicuous without using a special device and circuit even when there exists the flaw long in length in the optical filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By arranging a longitudinal direction of the flaw formed of a minute rugged part on a surface of base material of an ND filter to be aligned in a direction orthogonal to a direction where smear S is caused, image quality that the flare F is superposed on the smear S is obtained for the smear S caused up and down.
