<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device designed to appropriately perform illumination control of an indicator lamp when a switch dedicated for starter is provided with an indicator lamp, to thereby prevent unnecessary switch manipulation from being invited. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An ECU 5 drives a starter motor 4 when a starter switch 1 is manipulated, to start-up an engine 3. Further, when a predetermined idle stop condition is established during operation of an engine 3, an idle stop for stopping the engine 3 is performed.
