The machine has a stator (9) arranged in a housing (1), and a rotor shaft (7) rotatably supported with a rotor (8) e.g. cage rotor, against the stator. The rotor shaft is rotatably supported at the housing via a roller bearing (6) e.g. ball bearing. The roller bearing is electrically isolated by a diamond like carbon coating with 2 micrometer layer thickness against the housing and/or against the rotor shaft. The roller bearing has an outer ring, and the diamond like carbon coating is formed between the outer ring and a bearing retainer (4) in a housing section (3).
