The invention relates to the field of polymers and biomedical applications thereof. In particular, it relates to the use of polymeric amines derived from alternating polyketones.Provided is the use of a polymeric amine for modulating or supporting cellular behavior, said polymeric amine being an alternating aliphatic polyketone comprising N-substituted 2,5-pyrrolediyl groups incorporated in the polymer backbone and bearing an amino functional group pendant from the polymer backbone.
