METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING AMMONIA-CONTAINING REGENERATION WASTE LIQUID FROM CONDENSATE DEMINERALIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for separating and decomposing ammonia formed from a reductive nitrogen compound in a plant where the reductive nitrogen compound is injected to inhibit corrosion of structural materials in a nuclear reactor.

SOLUTION: There is provided a method for treating an ammonia-containing regeneration waste liquid discharged when a condensate demineralizer in a nuclear power plant is regenerated, which includes the steps of: adding an alkali to the ammonia-containing regeneration waste liquid discharged; separating ammonia in the vapor phase by aeration under heating; and decomposing the formed ammonia gas with a catalyst.
