<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure desired uphill traveling performance. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 16 of a hybrid vehicle assists driving force of an internal combustion engine 11 by a motor 12, when the opening of an accelerator AP of a vehicle becomes larger than an assist execution determination threshold, and increases the assist execution determination threshold, when selecting an L range which gives priority to charging to a high voltage battery 15, in comparison with the time D range is selected.
