<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically decide a combination of optimum values to be set to parameters for use in difference extraction processing. <P>SOLUTION: A difference extraction device includes: a difference extraction unit 22 executing difference extraction processing; a parameter set storage unit 27 storing a plurality of parameter sets composed of combinations of each setting value of a plurality of parameters to be used in execution of the difference extraction processing; a processing result information storage unit 28 storing identification information of the parameter sets which have been used in the execution of the difference extraction processing for a first and second reference images created by reading a reference manuscript and processing result information of the difference extraction processing executed on the basis of the parameter sets in association with each other; and a parameter set decision unit 25 deciding a parameter set of which the difference is the smallest by analyzing the processing result information acquired by executing the difference extraction processing in a plurality of number of times on the basis of different parameter sets as parameter sets to be used in execution of difference extraction processing for images of before and after modifications. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
