<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a viewer who can view and listen a limited program to view and listen without requesting authentication processing a number of times when a plurality of display panels commonly use a broadcast receiving apparatus, and prevent erroneously letting the limited program be in a state which viewers who can not view and listen the limited program can view and listen, by executing suitable authentication processing. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 11 of the broadcast receiving apparatus 3 acquires display panel information and viewer's history information which carry out a display request of program videos from a RAM 13 by performing power on (S502, S503). The CPU determines whether a broadcasting program in a selected channel of the display panel, is a limited program (S505), and determines from the viewer's history information whether the viewer views and listens the program in the past (S506).
