<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a child seat in an automobile capable of achieving safety required when the brakes are quickly applied and accident occurs and ensuring a child's ride comfort. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device for the child seat in the automobile has a seat face part 12, a back supporting part, and an arm rest 15 and is provided with at least one catch member 16, which is substantially laterally laid above both of thigh parts of the child seated on the child seat and is mounted to be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the arm rest 15.
