PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of a hydraulic control system of a wheel cylinder. SOLUTION: The brake control device performs first determination for determining existence of braking requirement by directly detecting existence of brake operation input by a measurement object different from an operation hydraulic pressure and second determination for determining existence of braking requirement utilizing the operation hydraulic pressure in parallel. Further, the brake control device determines that abnormality is generated on a wheel cylinder pressure control system when it is determined as no braking requirement in the first determination and when determination of existence of braking requirement is repeated by the second determination.
