<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation system and a method which convert wave motion into mechanical power. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fluid material is driven to the storing tank as a function of mechanical power. This fluid material is flowed out from the storing tank. The kinetic energy of the fluid material that flows out is converted into the electrical energy. The fluid material may be of a liquid or a gas. A power generation method is also provided. This method comprises the steps of converting the wave motion into mechanical power, driving the fluid material to the storing tank as a function of the mechanical power, flowing the fluid material out from the storing tank, and converting at least a part of the kinetic energy of the fluid material that flows out into the electrical energy.
