PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera allowing use history or a consumption state of user's camera to be easily and daily managed; and a display device. SOLUTION: This camera 10 includes a communication part 12 for transmitting a shot image to an external display apparatus, and transmits any of battery voltage information, charging data information and memory capacity information of the camera 10 in transmitting an image signal. An external apparatus 20 as a display device includes a communication part 22 for receiving the image signal transmitted from the camera 10, and a display and reproduction part 23 for reproducing and displaying the image signal. The communication part 22 receives camera information including at least one of signals representing a battery condition and a memory condition of the camera 10.
