<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electrode type electric dust collector which facilitates a carry-in operation of an exchange member and at the same time reduces a labor load of a worker engaged in interchange, and a method of carrying in members of the mobile electrode type electric dust collector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mobile electrode type electric dust collector has a casing, many discharge electrodes hanging down from a gas passage which turns a dust collecting zone in the casing, and many mobile electrodes which go around the discharge electrodes forming a loop by a plurality of dust collecting polar plates suspended by a pair of endless chains, and have a scraping means which brushes the dust collecting polar plates going around at a predetermined position. A stage for carrying-in is provided at a lower position of the mobile electrodes in the casing outside, and temporarily arranges component parts of the mobile electrodes, and a manhole for carrying-in is provided on the wall of the casing in the vicinity of the stage for carrying-in, and gets through the component parts of the mobile electrodes from the stage for carrying-in to the inside of the casing.
