<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell suppressing local deterioration of an electrolyte membrane and deterioration of the end of a catalyst layer and lengthening the life of the fuel cell by reducing the stay of produced water containing hydrogen peroxide or a hydroxyl radical in between the catalyst layer and a resin film surrounding the catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 1A includes an electrolyte membrane 11, a catalyst layer 12 laminated on the surface of the electrolyte membrane 11, and a gas diffusion layer 13 laminated on the surface of the catalyst layer 12, and a resin film 40 is arranged between the electrolyte membrane 11 and the gas diffusion layer 13 so as to surround the catalyst layer 12, and hydrophilic treatment is conducted to a surface region 13b between the resin film 40 and the catalyst layer 12 out of the surface of the gas diffusion layer 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
