PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit having superior maintenance performance, with respect to an air conditioner having a function for removing dust attached to an air filter. SOLUTION: The indoor unit includes the air filter 50, a brush 70 disposed in adjacent to the air filter 50 and along the width direction of the air filter 50, and removing the dust attached to the air filter 50, and a compression rod 71 disposed along the width direction and rotatably journaled. The air filter 50 includes a plurality of vertical supporting frames 53a movable along the moving direction orthogonal to the width direction, and formed along the moving direction, and a mesh section 54 for capturing the dust among the plurality of vertical supporting frames 53a, and the compression rod 71 is rotatably supported by supporting sections 71c disposed on parts corresponding to the plurality of vertical supporting frames 53a.
