PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal supply material with which the admixing of oxides produced on the surface of a solid-phase, low melting point metal material to a molten metal can be limited with a construction that is simpler than prior constructions. SOLUTION: The molten metal supply material, which is a molten metal supply material that melts and supplies a solid-phase, low melting point metal material, is characterized by including a melting zone that is directly or indirectly contacted by the low melting point metal material to produce a molten metal, and a roughly tubular flow channel that has a first opening formed in the melting zone at one end and a second opening at the other end and through which the molten metal produced by the melting zone flows, and by the fact that the melting zone melts the low melting point metal material having surface oxides beeing removed in an oxide removal zone prior to the low melting point metal material being melted.
