PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for improving the display quality by preventing occurrence of stripe-like moire, and a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: In a structure for connecting a switching element to a pixel electrode via contact holes 43a, 43b, 43c and 43d formed in an interlayer insulation film on an active matrix substrate 13, the positions of respective contact holes 43a, 43b, 43c and 43d are irregularly arranged among a plurality of pixel regions 32a, 32b, 32c and 32d.
