PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure detector capable of suppressing power consumption without augmenting cost or man-hours of an inspection. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure detector 1 includes a tire air pressure detecting means 4 for detecting a tire air pressure P, a transmitting means 6a for transmitting data frame selectively including the tire air pressure P, and an augmentation means 6b for augmenting frequency of the transmission more than a referential frequency when the tire air pressure P alters beyond multiples of a predetermined air pressure (10 kPa).
