PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for a color image having good low-temperature fixability, hot-offset resistance and glossiness and less liable to cause adhesive aggregation of toner particles, the kit of such the toner, a full-color image forming apparatus, and the like. SOLUTION: The toner used in the full-color image forming apparatus is obtained as follows: a mixture containing a binder resin such as a polyester resin, a ketone wax-based release agent, a colorant and, optionally, a charge control agent is prepared in such a way that the content of the release agent is confined to 3-10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the binder resin, the mixture is melted, kneaded, pulverized and classified to obtain powder, e.g., having a volume average diameter of 4.0-7.5 μm, and the surface of the resultant toner base is coated with an external additive such as inorganic fine particles.
