<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress mode changeover that a driver does not intend for improving operability and manageability, in a driving force distribution controller that freely controls the distribution of a driving force in a plurality of modes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a differential limiting control section 50 for a center differential, a mode setting section 54 basically outputs an execution command, for outputting the computed value, to a 4WD auto-mode control computation section 52 or a 4WD manual-mode control computation section 53, in accordance with a signal from a mode changeover switch 35. However, it is provided with a mode resetting function for automatically changing the setting mode to the preset initial mode (4WD auto-mode) after the engine is stopped.
