<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carry out a locking-release operation of a retainer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Connectors 10, 10A are equipped with a retainer 50 to prevent coming-off of a terminal fitting 80 by being advanced into a cavity 21 of a housing 20. The retainer 50 has a pair of arm parts 52 protruded in nearly parallel in an attaching direction to the housing 20, and a coupling part 51 to mutually couple the base ends of both arms parts 52. On the inner face of both the arm parts 52, a lock part 55 is formed in which a main locking part 37 formed on the outer face of the housing 20 can be locked, and by means that the lock part 55 locks the main locking part 37, the retainer 50 is retained at the main locking position. The tip faces of both the arm parts 52 in the protruding direction are made to be exposed faces 63 arranged exposing outward when the retainer 50 is retained at the main locking position.
