<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet coupling device capable of detecting a rotation of a magnet coupling only by a magnetic flux of a driving side magnet without being affected by a driven side magnet even when the rotation of the driven side magnet is unstable or stops; and to provide a meter using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A case 20 is provided with a ring-shaped projection, and a hollow cylindrical-shaped driving side magnet 22 provided at the distal end of a driving side magnet axis 21 is disposed in the ring-shaped projection. A driven side magnet 24 is disposed through the case 20 in the inside of the ring-shaped projection, and the driving side magnet 22 and the driven side magnet 24 are magnetically connected to each other.
