<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a synthetic resin foam containing a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance, which surely decomposes the synthetic resin foam containing a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance without releasing a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance to the air and effectively uses a heat energy of the synthetic resin foam as a resource. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for treating a synthetic resin foam containing a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance includes grinding the synthetic resin foam W containing a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance by a grinder 6, sucking a chlorofluorocarbon or a chlorofluorocarbon-analog substance released by the grinding, introducing the suction gas as combustion air for cement firing into a cement kiln 1 and feeding ground synthetic resin foam Wc as an auxiliary fuel to the cement kiln 1.
