<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorbable resin particles which have a large amount of absorption under a load and a high rate of absorption of liquid under a load; and to provide an absorbable article having high feeling of dry on a surface of the absorbent article. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The absorbable resin particles are absorbable resin composite particles (D) containing: a crosslinked polymer (A1) consisting of a water soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and an inner crosslinking agent (b) as essential components; and modified particles (C) in which a hydrophilic material (B) is bound to a part or the whole of the surface of a crosslinked polymer (A2) consisting of a water soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and an inner crosslinking agent (b) as essential components by at least one chemical bond, and have a structure in which a part or all of the modified particles (C) are included in the absorbable resin composite particles (D).
