PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body having high operability and a control method thereof. SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, this moving body 1 which moves in accordance with the shift of an occupant's weight includes: an occupant seat 8 having a seat surface in which the lower part of occupant's thigh is a space; a chassis 13 for supporting the occupant seat 8; wheels 6 for moving the chassis 13; a force sensor 9 for outputting a measured value corresponding to a force applied to the seat surface 8a of the occupant seat 8; and a control calculating section 51 for calculating a command value for driving the wheels 6 in accordance with the output from the force sensor 9.
