PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict information which should originally be obtained from characters when there are characters which cannot be converted in character code.

SOLUTION: The display control apparatus includes: an information acquisition part 12A for acquiring character information recorded in a recording medium and the character conversion code information of the character information; a character code conversion determination part 12B for determining whether or not it is a convertible character for each character of the character information from the character conversion code information; and an alternate data preparation part 12E for preparing alternate data including a prescribed numeral when it is determined that the prescribed number of the character information is not the convertible character by the character code conversion determination part 12B.
