MYCOPLASMA FERMENTANS GENE, GENE PRODUCT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLYCOGLYCEROPHOSPHOLIPID USING ENZYMATIC REACTION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glycoglycerophospholipid (GGPL) which is a membrane component of M. fermentans by reaction based on an enzyme expressed by Escherichia coli.

SOLUTION: Combination of codon is converted into Escherichia coli-type by selecting and cloning possible genes mf1 and mf3 from genomic information of M. fermentans. A glycoglycerophospholipid is successfully obtained by expressing these modified genes in E. coli, preparing cell fracture, and performing an enzymatic reaction after adding a substrate.
