<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which has few coating irregularities, is excellent in mass productivity and is capable of easily obtaining an excellent antireflection effect, and an optical system provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical element, when one of light incidence and emission surfaces is defined as an optical surface R1 and the other surface is defined as an optical surface R2, a fine irregular structure whose average pitch is equal to or less than the wavelength of a visible range is formed on the optical surface R1. When a direction from the optical surface R2 to the optical surface R1 is defined as being positive in the optical axis direction of the optical element and an end part on the side of the optical surface R1 among the end parts of the edge face of the maximum outer periphery is defined as a reference part, the position of the centroid of the optical element includes the reference part and is in a negative direction to a surface vertical to the optical axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
