<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device that detects the opening/closing of a door with a simple configuration even if the supply of power is stopped and that eliminates the need for unnecessary initial processing. <P>SOLUTION: The post-processing device 100 includes: at least one door 20; a charge accumulation part 31 that accumulates charges, releases charges when the door 20 is opened, and holds charges when the door 20 is closed; and a control unit 40 that detects whether the door 20 is opened or not during the stop of the supply of power from the image forming apparatus 200, according to an amount of charges accumulated in the charge accumulating part 31 when the supply of power from the image forming apparatus 200 is resumed.
