METHOD, SENSOR HEAD, AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING THERMAL INSULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulator identification method, a sensor head for identification, and a thermal insulator identification apparatus which leave no conspicuous hole marks in walls.

SOLUTION: The thermal insulator embedded in a wall is irradiated with lights having different wavelengths to identify the type of the thermal insulator on the basis of its relative spectral reflectance in the thermal insulator identification method. The sensor head for thermal insulator identification includes a fiber bundle consisting of fibers for light reception for receiving reflected light from thermal insulators. A hollow guide tube is inserted in a wall, and a fiber for emission is inserted in the guide tube and emits lights having different wavelengths. The sensor head for thermal insulator identification includes a fiber bundle consisting of fibers for light reception for receiving reflected light form thermal insulators. The thermal insulator identification apparatus is provided.
