PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, by which concave portions with high uniformity is formed on the photoreceptor surface with high productivity. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a cylindrical support includes: a process of preparing a coating liquid for a surface layer by dissolving a binder resin and a specified siloxane compound in a solvent; a coating process of applying the coating liquid for the surface layer, on the surface of the support; and a drying process of heating and drying the support coated with the coating liquid for the surface layer.
