PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble and attach connecting members in such a manner that they are smoothly relatively rotatable with each other in a connection device of a vehicle seat; and to prevent locking strength from weakening due to the relative movement of the eccentric direction between the connecting members. SOLUTION: The reclining apparatus 4 (the connection device in a vehicle seat) includes: a circular-shaped ratchet 10 and a guide 20 which are assembled and attached in the plate joining direction relatively rotatably with each other; and poles 30, 30 which lock these relative rotations. The poles 30, 30 are assembled and attached to the guide 20 as the state of being supported circumferentially, and lock the relative rotation between both of the members by the engagement with the inner peripheral teeth face 12a of the ratchet 10. The movement into the particular eccentric direction of the cylinder part 12 of the ratchet 10 is prevented by projections 22a, 22a which are projectingly formed at the cylinder part 22 of the guide 20, and, on the other hand, the cylinder part 12 of the ratchet 10 can make a smooth rotary movement against the cylinder part 22 by the different inner peripheral face shape of the cylinder part 22 of the guide 20.
