<p>The hob (1) has a bottom projecting a gas burner (2) through a cover plate (4), and a transport safety device (5) provided below the gas burner, where the safety device is arranged at a distance to a lower side of the gas burner and provided at the bottom. A vertical distance between an upper side (54) of the safety device and a lower side of the gas burner at an edge of the gas burner is smaller than other areas of the gas burner.
