<p>A method is described for the provisioning of latency-tolerant services in an access network. The method comprises the steps of: setting a demand to provide a service to a user; determining the network resources required to provide this service; establishing based upon the resources required to provide that service, the available network resources and/or the network's service provisioning policy, whether the provisioning of this service shall be immediately effected or be postponed to a later stage. If it has been established that the service will be provided at a later stage, it will be provided at a time when the available resources and/or the network's service provisioning policy match that of the resources required for the provisioning of the service.</p> |
