<p>An animal toilet in which a movable hood can be smoothly opened and closed even if a gap occurring between the movable hood and a fixed hood is reduced. The animal toilet (1) has a waste elimination container (2) whose upper side is open and also has a hood (3) placed over the waste elimination container (2) so as to cover the opening of the container. The hood (3) has a fixed hood (31) placed on one end side of the waste elimination container (2), the movable hood (32) placed on the other end side of the waste elimination container (2), and a pair of connection sections (33, 33) for pivotally fixing the movable hood (32). The movable hood (32) is adapted so as to pivot outside or inside the fixed hood (31), with the end edge on at least one end side of the movable hood (32) located near the fixed hood (31) with a predetermined distance provided in between. Projecting restriction sections (6) are provided on the fixed hood (31) and/or the movable hood (32) and restrict the distance between the end edge on the at least one end side of the movable hood (32) and the fixed hood (31) to become less than a predetermined level.</p> |
