<p>The device (1) has a guide sleeve (2) arranged on a gear shaft. A gearshift sleeve (3) including a guide teeth is guided on the guide sleeve. The gearshift sleeve is provided with a stopper piece (5), which has two synchronous plates that are movable relative to each other. The plates having two engaging cams are pressed apart by a spring element and engaged in locking grooves of the guide teeth.
