A method for the CPECF (customer premises equipment configuration function) in the NASS (network attachment subsystem) obtaining the terminal equipment information mainly includes that: the NACF (network access configuration function) in the NASS distributes the IP address information and transmits it to the CLF (connectivity session location function); the CPECF obtains the correspondance information of the IP address of the user terminal and the terminal identifier directly or indirectly. The CPECF in the NASS of the present invention can obtain the correspondance information of the IP address of the user terminal and the terminal identifier automatically, configure the user terminal expediently and improve the network management. In the same time, the present invention can provide the user terminal with the network information and the service information required in the development of the service. The present invention also provides a method for configuring the user terminal in NASS and the NASS for CPECF obtaining the terminal information.
