PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which can be constituted so that the rigidity of a side wall section becomes gradually enhanced toward a bead section, and excellent in stability in maneuvering and riding comfort or the like. SOLUTION: A code 33 is wound along the circumference of the tire in the approximately central part in the direction of the thickness of a bead filler 31 of a bead section 24, to arrange a central reinforcing layer 32 having a predetermined width in the radial direction of the tire. The rigidity of the central reinforcing layer 32 is formed so that the inner diameter side part 32a becomes higher than the outer diameter side part 32b by the change of kinds of the code 33 or the like.
