<p>The device has a reservoir for storing a medium i.e. liquid pharmaceutical medium. A pressure generating device (10) applies pressure on the medium. An outlet opening (44) outputs the medium. An outlet valve (40) is provided with a valve slot. A valve body (46) moves between an opening position and a closing position relative to the valve slot. The valve body is pressurized by an electrical valve actuating coil (54) using valve control current. A pressure sensor is arranged in a pressure chamber and/or a valve chamber.
