The invention relates to a method and a device for adjusting, according to the operating situation, the vibrational properties of bearing elements (VL1... VLEn) for mounting a unit, especially an internal combustion engine and/or a transmission, in a motor vehicle. Said method comprises the following steps: a corresponding plurality of different operating situations of the motor vehicle is identified on the basis of signals specific to an operating situation; an operating situation relevant to a bearing adjustment is cyclically fixed according to a pre-determined priority distribution; a set (EPS1...EPSn) of adjustment parameters is fixed for at least one bearing element (VLE1... VLEn) on the basis of the operating situation relevant to bearing adjustment; and the vibrational properties of the bearing element (VLEl... VLEn) are adjusted on the basis of the set (EPS1... EPSn) of adjustment parameters.
